Subject of the Week: Art

We are delighted to be back at school unleashing the pupils’ creativity and feeding their creative minds. To begin with, key stage 3 are focussing on sculpting using clay. They have begun by making some simple pots and will be developing their sculpting skills to create more intricate and decorated pots and tiles as the term progresses.

We are using practicing artists Heather Knight and Hilke Macintyre for inspiration, among others.

Just as before, the budding artists among our cohort will also be encouraged and supported to follow their own creative paths and passions. They will be guided to explore and develop their ideas and creative methods.
We can’t wait to see what artistic delights come to fruition and will be sure to share some with you.
