Our Lower School pupils had an amazing day at the South Downs Goblin (Greenpower Kit Car) Race, joining young engineers from across the region. Families came along to cheer them on — thank you for the fantastic support!

The day started with a faulty battery, but our pupils showed brilliant resilience and problem-solving. Huge shout-out to Alfie, our young mechanic, for helping diagnose the issue and getting us race-ready!

Once on the track, drivers Rufus, Noah, Ruebun and Reggie-Lee were outstanding — calm, confident, and great team players throughout every race.

Their hard work paid off with 3rd place overall AND the award for Best Bodywork out of 24 teams!

We are especially proud as the only SEMH school competing — our pupils proved that with teamwork, creativity and self-belief, they can achieve incredible things.

A big thank you to all staff and families for supporting the project from start to finish.

Next stop: Goodwood! We can’t wait to see what the team achieves next.
