We were incredibly lucky to welcome Karl from Moneyfields Football Club into school. Our pupils were full of questions, from what it’s like to be a footballer, to his journey into management and coaching with the Moneyfields Women’s Team.

A special shout‑out to Bobbey‑John, who showed amazing confidence by asking Karl if he would come and watch them play and offer some tips for improvement. Such courage and enthusiasm made us all proud!

Karl borrowed a pair of football boots from his daughter our very own teacher Sharna and before we knew it, pupils from across the school were out on the pitch for an impromptu game.

Karl managed to referee, coach and play, all at once! The progress we saw in such a short time was unbelievable, and the pupils absolutely thrived on the experience.
